Fewer deed trades, a busier week for Kodas — week ending September 5

Otherdeed & Koda Weekly — August 30 – September 5, 2026

Otherdeed trading slowed this week, but several large island and rare-resource deals kept the volume total looking healthier than the typical sale. Kodas went the other way: more trades, more ETH purchases, and one particularly busy Thursday.

Otherdeeds: the big deals carried the volume

Mr. Deeds recorded 97 Otherdeed sales across 88 deeds, down from 192 sales the previous week. Combined ETH and WETH volume fell much less — 24.0 ETH-equivalent versus 26.7, a decline of about 10%.

Eight sales of at least 1 ETH or WETH accounted for 14.5 ETH-equivalent, roughly 61% of the week's volume. Without the four island sales, deed volume was 16.0 ETH-equivalent, down about 26% on the same basis a week earlier.

The ETH median fell from 0.0832 ETH; the WETH median fell from 0.0788 WETH. Some large WETH trades were negotiated deals, so their volume should not all be read as demand from ordinary standing bids. Recorded deed sales.

Among mainland deeds without artifacts or rare resources, the 32 ETH sales had a median of 0.0680 ETH, versus 0.0827 across 48 sales the week before. That's a changing mix of deeds, but it reinforces the distinction: the large transactions did not translate into firmer prices across the ordinary market.

The deed sales that stood out

  • Three island deeds on September 5: #225 and #229 each recorded 2.11 WETH, while #265 recorded 2.01 WETH. Those three records alone contributed 6.23 WETH. #225 also traded for 1.78 WETH on September 2.
  • Galactica and Fragmentia: #6362, carrying Galactica T3, recorded a negotiated 2.005 WETH sale on September 2. #75181, with Fragmentia T3 and T1, recorded a negotiated 1.655 WETH sale on August 31.
  • Concentrated resource holdings: #79234, with three Pyrum T3 deposits and a Monkey Barrel, sold for 1.645 WETH on September 4. #7258, carrying two Bonestone T3 deposits, Hollowcine T3 and a Forged Pickaxe, recorded 1.2 ETH on August 31.

These were substantial prices for distinctive parcels. They show where money changed hands; a few exceptional deeds don't establish a new price level for every resource holder.

Kodas: more buying, concentrated in one day

Kodas recorded 35 sales across 32 Kodas, up from 28 sales across 25 Kodas. Combined volume rose about 23%, to 23.65 ETH-equivalent.

The increase came from ETH purchases doubling; accepted-bid activity barely changed. Thursday, September 3 accounted for 18 of the week's 35 sales, including 12 of the 16 ETH purchases. Friday's six recorded sales were all accepted bids, mostly around 0.606–0.608 WETH. Recorded Koda sales.

The two highest Koda sales both landed on Thursday: #3900 at 1.05 ETH and #8909 at 1.027 ETH. Both carry a weapon and one Mega trait.

Two repeat sales illustrate the difference between the two sides of the market. #3900 had changed hands for 0.96 WETH on August 27 before its 1.05 ETH sale a week later. #445 went from a 0.601 WETH accepted bid on August 30 to a 0.717 ETH sale the next day — a 19% increase in recorded price, before fees and costs.

Where the listing floors stand

At the Sunday morning check, the Expanded deed floor was 0.0649 ETH, with 1,312 listed, while the Koda floor was 0.669 ETH, with 153 listed. These are current asking prices, separate from the week's completed sales. Deed feed · Koda feed.

What to watch next

For deeds, watch whether activity spreads beyond the occasional island or resource-heavy sale. More transactions near the ordinary market would say more about broader demand than another isolated high-value deal.

For Kodas, watch whether Thursday's listing purchases turn into a repeat pattern. The ETH side was busier this week, while accepted bids still cleared noticeably lower. A sustained increase in listing purchases would be more meaningful than one busy day.
