A field guide to Otherside assets, traits, rarity and markets — from Otherdeeds and their resources to Kodas and their traits. Otherside has 100,000 land plots and 10,000 Kodas. An Otherdeed can be simple — common terrain, no deposits, no artifact — or it can stack a scarce environment, a high environment tier, rare resources, an artifact, a Koda and history traits on one plot; Kodas run from plain to Mega, with their own counted trait system. The first articles explain the basics; the later ones show how the traits interact, how compound rarity works, and why a statistically rare deed is not automatically a valuable one. Everything is written from the same chain-deduplicated dataset the rest of this site runs on: one current record for each of the 100,000 plots.

One rule to remember

Rarity, desirability and value are related, but they are not the same thing. A deed can be statistically rare because several unusual traits happen to intersect — that does not guarantee collector demand, gameplay utility or a premium sale. The trait data measures what exists; the market data measures what buyers have actually paid. Use both.
