Mr. Deeds Weekly — ApeFest, a standout Chaos sale, and a busier market

Weekly Market Update · published 2026-10-19 by Mr. Deeds · written from this site's recorded sales and live book — deed sales · Koda market · corrections policy.

October 12–18, 2026 · Market snapshot updated October 19

ApeFest brought the community together in Charleston, Yuga introduced Mudwater, and Otherdeed trading increased. But activity and prices told different stories: more deeds changed hands while the median recorded ETH sale fell. A large Chaos transaction also showed why collector purchases deserve separate attention from the broader land market.

ApeFest: community gathering and a new collectible

ApeFest’s main event took place October 17 at Beeple Studios, with community events spanning October 15–18. Sunday’s schedule included an Otherside popup. Official ApeFest schedule.

The major product announcement was Mudwater, Yuga’s physical and digital trading-card collection on Solana. Launch coverage reported allocations of 10 packs per Bored Ape and two per Mutant Ape, alongside an ApeFest broadcast inside Otherside. ApeFest recap.

For landholders, the question is whether this attention translates into sustained participation in Otherside. A new collectible gives the community something to explore; evidence of stronger land demand will come from subsequent sales and player activity.

Otherdeeds: more activity, lower median ETH price

Mr. Deeds’ recorded history shows:

MeasureOctober 12–18October 5–11
Deed-level sale records221103
Distinct transaction hashes13086
Distinct deeds traded19289
ETH sale records7639
Median recorded ETH sale0.0750 ETH0.0852 ETH
WETH sale records14564

The number of transactions rose approximately 51%, while the median ETH sale declined approximately 12%. That supports a picture of increased trading, without establishing a broad price recovery. Recorded Otherdeed sales.

Bulk activity matters here. One October 17 transaction appears across 44 deed records, so those entries should not be described as 44 separate buying decisions. The export repeats the same WETH amount across those records; aggregate volume is omitted pending verification of how that payment should be allocated.

Chaos #73634 stands out

The archive records Otherdeed #73634 at 7.51 WETH and then 9.999 ETH on October 15, approximately 13 minutes apart. These are two records involving the same parcel, rather than two independent comparable deeds. Deed #73634.

The ETH record alone exceeds the sum of the week’s other recorded ETH amounts. It is a striking collector transaction, but it offers little basis for repricing ordinary land. The short interval also warrants reviewing the transaction context before drawing conclusions about appreciation.

Kodas: a range of prices around ApeFest

October 17’s visible Koda records included #7512 at 0.5832 ETH, #5727 at 0.6446 ETH, and #8660 at 0.732 ETH. Earlier in the week, #8404 recorded a 1.15 ETH sale. These examples illustrate the spread between individual Kodas; they are not presented as a complete weekly tally. Koda sales.

At approximately 1:13 p.m. Central on October 19, the live feeds showed:

  • Otherdeeds: lowest listed ask of 0.0549 ETH, with 1,212 listed.
  • Kodas: lowest listed ask of 0.54 ETH, with 159 listed.

New on Mr. Deeds: explore your holdings together

The new wallet map combines multiple wallets on one map. Search your holdings by resources, density, rare deposits, plot size, Nexus Proximity and Chaos proximity, then explore listed deeds nearby.

Sediment colors remain visible, details appear beside the map, and separate controls let you hide Chaos deeds or disable hover previews.

What we’re watching next

The useful post-ApeFest signal will be whether increased trading continues across distinct assets, and whether ETH clearing prices stabilize. For collector deeds, repeatable evidence across comparable combinations of traits will matter more than one exceptional transaction.

Data note: Weekly periods use UTC dates. Original and Expanded deed records are combined; known Koda bundles remain in transaction history and should not be interpreted as land-only prices. WETH activity is reported separately and does not automatically enter valuations: only individually approved rare-item exceptions remain eligible. Prior-period history includes October 5–6, which remain within the permanent valuation-exclusion interval.
